Random Beer Thought of the day (RBTTD): Had 2 beers last night , a Belgian Ale (Uncommon Brewers - Golden State Ale) and and English Strong Ale ( 21st Amendment - Allies win the War!) both were in cans. Don't think that would have happened 5 years ago. Maybe not even 2 years ago.

Looking forward to 2012. I think it might be on of the more amazing craftbeer years ever. What with all the new breweries opening and the old standards poised to crank out some EBB (Even Better Beer) than last year. Sorry liver I will try and be good to you.

Its been a slow year beer wise for me. I hope to 1) drink more beer in the coming year and 2) write about it on this blog.

Random beer thought of the day..

And one that will probably need more thought. It is interesting that so much of ones impression of a beer has to do with outside factors. The temperature, what kind of day you had, even what you ate for dinner all have an effect on the beer you are drinking. Of course it is up to you to be able to separate those 'outside influences' in a beer evaluation, but there are times that its very hard and nearly impossible to do so. The question then is, should you worry about those or just add them to the evaluation?
